What you should know about Territory Manor
With our gregarious and cordial staff we endeavor to ensure your stay is snug and enjoyable while staying at the Territory Manor. We have enjoyed updating and improving the facilities, increasing our clientele and exploring the region. We have acquired a menagerie of animals the peacocks Edgar and his two girl friends who hangs around the restaurant, the cockatoos Francis and Lucy who reach over for a segment of bread in the morning. Out in the flat there are three donkeys that were here when we bought it. There are many species of birdlike that have made the property their homes and numerous wallabies that can be spotted at dusk and dawn. The barramundi are quite voracious eaters, and inhale their food with a loud boo sound. They only turn into females on return to the ocean as adults. We look forward to seeing you in Mataranka when you after visit.
Plentiful birdlike wildlife wander the grounds. Accessible to all the lovely attractions that the Never offers. The motel is constructed from rammed earth, which blends with the automatic environment and have pleasant verandas overlooking the grounds and pool. A standard Double room offers a Queen size bed, many rooms also have an extra single bed. You can find us on the northern end of Mataranka at 51 Martins Road. The Bitter Springs at the last of Martins Road is a instinctive stream with pools and is surrounded by native vegetation. The stream goes for about 60 meres and its desirable to float down then swim back against the vogue for some exercise, though the lazier can fair climb out at the final and walk back to the beginning! You can wander the boardwalk down to the Waterhouse River, where you might be lucky enough to see a fresh water crocodile, turtles and fish. Obvious as Never Country it was made famous by the novel by Jeanie Dunn about her life in this area in the hasty 1900's. The dinner menu consists of a variety of delicious home style cooked meals. Chicken Parmigiana with our own home made sauce. There is a children menu of chicken nuggets, Sausages or fish and chips. This can all be enjoyed while watching the sunset through the trees overlooking the Barramundi pond. If you would like to organize catering we would need a week or mores notice to prepare and order food etc. The Territory Manor and Bitter Springs was our favorite stay. The motel room we stayed in was nicely done out, very clean, well air conditioned and among trees, abundant birdlike and scenic surrounds. They provided a superb dinner there, exterior in the dining area. We both had Barramundi caught new from a pond on the grounds. The prices were reasonable, the food was immense and the staff were wonderful. In addition to this, the Territory Manor is on the corner of the turnoff road to Bitter Springs which we thought was one of the highlights of our trip, so beautifully scenic with lush foliage surrounds and the springs we bathed in were honest the right temperature to be fully refreshing. I highly recommend staying at The Territory Manor, it's simply wonderful. Hi Leon, we look forward to having you reach back and visit us again. That was our first visit to Australia, now we arrive back for the 13th times! And we will arrive back to Mataranka for the second time.
